I started thinking of how many things I have to be thankful for, from my health to having a roof over my head every night, a loving family, a cute cat (my little Trio Bello) and some spectacular friends. I also tend to make a mental list of things to say when my family and I go around the table during Thanksgiving dinner, since I don't want to ramble on and make a bit of a fool of myself. When I think back on the past few years at Thanksgiving dinner, I have cried (scratch that, it ALWAYS happens), laughed and even have been a bit perplexed (like when my brother's much younger girlfriend was thankful for Chanel, Coach and Juicy Couture [?!]). But I can't help but be thankful for more than just the usual stuff... I am thankful for being able to go to school and be creative every day, to one day bring my imagination to the masses, the music I love and for the way my dad and I love Star Trek a bit too much and say hello with the "Live Long and Prosper" sign (yes, we really do that, I'll find a picture to show one of these days). Even the way Trio wakes me up with a scratchy little meow every morning makes me thankful for so much. So thank you, to every one who has ever put a smile on my face, a twinkle in my eye and butterflies in my tummy.
What are you thankful for? What do you realize this time of year that makes your life even better? The Setting Sun.
